Alfonso Comino is a well-seasoned travel industry executive, with experience in Operations, Commercial, Revenue Management and Sales Optimisation Systems. He is currently Senior Director Revenue Strategy for InterContinental Hotel Group in Greater China, the largest international hotel group in the region, operating 350+ properties. Previously he was part of the developing team of a USD$60m Revenue Management system, including leading its worldwide roll out, allowing him to travel and work in over 75 countries.
Born with dyslexia, Alfonso thinks creatively and often see opportunities where others see problems. A believer of positive leadership, Alfonso has been awarded for his ability to lead teams by creating fun and agile work environments. He is known for his ability to translate big sets of data into powerful stories and is a regular corporate public speaker.
Bringing a hands-on approach mentoring start-ups as well as angel investing, Alfonso is also an avid crypto-investor and blockchain enthusiast, often participating in ICOs.
He left sunny Mallorca (Spain) in 2006 and settled in Asia in 2010. He and his wife currently live in Shanghai.
