Roy Lee
Managing Director
A successful entrepreneur with over 25 years of IT, investment and management experience. Currently Mr. Lee is the Managing Director of Angelvest Group helping with fund raising and start-ups investment. He also worked as Managing Director for Techina Investment (a VC fund), General Manager for DTZ (a multi-national real estate service firm including investment) and China Investment and Development Director for Regus (the world largest business serviced office provider). Previously, Mr. Lee was a Sr. Advisor to China Academy of Sciences on healthcare development and the LuShang Group, a RMB60 billion commercial property developer on PE fund partnership. He also advised Chengdu Government on West China Financial District Development attracting PE funds to setup operation.
Prior to moving to China in 2001, he was a successful serial entrepreneur who founded Lifehelper.com and was its CEO. The business was a venture funded psychology support directory service portal and was sold to Psychology Today magazine in 2001. At Lifehelper.com, he was joined by famous board members such as Dr. Gil Amelio, former Chairman & CEO of Apple Computer, and National Semiconductor, and Dr. Hal Clark, former President of Ingram Micro-D. Previously, he also co-founded eTravel.com in 1995 (one of the earliest online travel website) and worked as it COO.
In Mr. Lee’s early career, he was the Subsidiary President managed Everex’s Server Division. He also worked as the High-end System Group Manager for ALR (later sold to Gateway Computer), and as MIS Manager, Programmers at TRW and Rockwell International.
