Soumitra (Sunny) Saha

Soumitra (Sunny) Saha is Managing Director of Avid Ventures providing strategy and business development services to media and entertainment companies across Asia Pacific. Avid Ventures activates growth opportunities at the intersection of content, data and technology.

Sunny has an extensive record growing revenue, distribution and viewership of media brands in Australia, Japan, Korea, India, Greater China, and markets of South East Asia. During his 14-year tenure with Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting, he expanded the business from 8 to 52 services spanning television, online, mobile, retail, gaming, print and theme parks. In his last role, he was the Asia Pacific Managing Director and SVP, leading growth strategy of iconic brands such as CNN, HBO, WB, Cartoon Network and TCM.

Prior to Turner Broadcasting, Sunny was with Kantar IMRB, where he consulted and partnered with 200+ customers on a range of consumer research and media analytics projects.

Sunny is an angel investor and advises startups in media, entertainment and lifestyle. He is based in Hong Kong.
